Wild Animals in the Wild Animal Park San Diego

Bill's Parents came into town last minute, and so as a family we all went to San Diego to spent some good quality time together,

What better way then to visit an animal park/zoo. The Crew included Bill, Myself, Al, Sharon, Kristin, Don, Matt, Daniel, and Ashley. It was a fun time although I thought there would be more "wild" animals. The park was never intended to be an attraction but more of a breeding/study of the animals so it was very informational.

Anneke's Baby Shower

Anneke and Nick (baby) got spoiled

Anneke came into town this week for her baby shower held and hosted by Lori S. my mom's best friend. It was a really nice shower with lunch served and a delicious candy bar all in BLUE. My sister is having a boy and they plan on naming the little guy Nicholas.

She had a really good turn out and was spoiled with gifts.. how she plans on getting them back to boston is another matter.. hehehe

I didn't get a ton of pictures but at least i got one of Tasha, one of my sisters childhood friend, and our cousin Kelly (one of my most favorite girls!) all and all i think the shower was a great time and i know my sister is thankful for all the love and support for this exciting new journey of life!

Pine Flat Lake

Bill and I with some friends went camping at Pine Flat Lake up North. We had the whole camp grounds to ourselves it was actually pretty nice. Tom R., Vlad P., Bill and I went up Thursday set-up came had dinner and spent the evening just hanging out by the campfire.

Friday Tom's girlfriend Melanie and her friend Ruby came up also Vlad's Wife Jo and their two kids Lallea and Gio came up too. Friday we went out on the boat and learned to wake board. i didn't think i was going to be able to get up but tom's a very good teacher and the first run i was up... now i couldn't stay up but getting up is half the battle. Vlad and Bill did an awesome job wake boarding and Tom might as well be a Pro. He makes it look so easy!

Saturday with everyone here we went out on the boat again and everyone got a turn learning to wake board. I myself was antsy to get back out there and try again, First try i was up out of the water and was actually again to stay up for more then a few seconds! I went for a few runs and on a few of them i actually stayed up the length of  3 football fields. after we all had a turn we tried tubing of course every one of my turns i got thrown from "Big Bertha" but it was all fun-n-games.

Sunday was bill's birthday and the group was so nice to have cards for him we celebrated the night before with some homemade peach cobbler. we packed our stuff and made the 5 hour drive back home.

A Romantic Get-Away

For Labor Day weekend Bill surprised me with a quick little get-away. The took me back to the place we spent our 1st year anniversary. We stayed at the Hyatt in Indian Wells. We almost got the same room we stayed in 3 years ago, unfortunately it was already booked. We got a very nice and much needed couples massage I got to use the steam room after and just continue the relaxation. Next we went to dinner at Babe's the same restaurant we ate at on our 1st anniversary we ordered the ribs and for dessert we had true southern strawberry shortcake, it was delicious. After dinner we went back to the hotel and watch one of the worse movies to date. It was Knight & Day starring Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz. It was so bad it was kind of comical.

On the way home from Palm Springs we stopped at the Cabazon Outlets and Bill spoiled me once again. He got me a new purse, sunglasses, sweatshirt and a few other things, my man treats me good! I love him so much. Re-enacting our 1st wedding anniversary made a wonderful and memorable weekend. Thanks babe!

The 3 of us again...

It's been a long time over due, but the best of hair school has done it again! Kelly, Tricia and I meet up at Orange Circle to have Brunch at The Filling Station. We ate, talked, laughed and just caught up with each other and the things going on in our lives. I love these two woman so much, friendships that will last a life time and wonderful memories shared while getting our cosmetology licences'. I'm Lucky to call these girls my friends and that we've stayed so close over the years!
