My Birthday Extravaganza!!!

I have the most wonderful Husband ever! Not only did i have a great birthday but i got an entire birthweek!

To start off the Celebrations Bill arranged to celebrate my actual birthday (thursday) at my parents with dinner. I got to have my Favorite meal..... Corn Beef & Cabbage. We had dinner and open gifts. I got super spoiled this year! Bill got me my long awaited external hard drive, and Nintendo ds, along with a matching "Coach" pruse & wallet, My parents got me No Doubt concert tickets, Anneke got me the Twilight board game and "coach" coin purse and the grandparents never go wrong with CASH!

Dinner was fun and I'm so grateful to have such a wonderful family! I am truly blessed!

After dinner bill unfortunately had to go to work, But Elise (my lil sister) and I went to my book club meeting. Book of the month was Hunger Games (possibly the best book ever...next to Harry Potter) there the girls had a birthday cake waiting... Thank you girls! It made my birthday that much more special.... I have to say the bookclub meeting was one thing i've been looking forward to since we started reading Hunger Games.

Then on Saturday, Bill took the day off work and we went out to Newport to go whale watching. I was so excited i love whale watching i always have so much fun and i get all giddy like a little school girl. My thoughts on that is because the first experience i had with whale watching i was about 6 yrs, i saw the fluke of grey whale and remember thinking that was the biggest most beautiful thing i've ever seen.

We saw 3 grey whales, a group of seals, a bunch of dolphins, and one HUGE sea turtle! I've never seen a sea turtle in the open water before, it was pretty neat. The turtle was just swimming by along side the boat.

After the 2 1/2 hour excursion we made it back to Newport, we walked around looking at the shops. We stopped off at one of my favorites called Mr. T's Toe rings. I got 2 new toes rings and a pair of ear rings.

To end the festivities on sunday bill went to church with me then took me over to my BFF Lea's house for a surprise Birhtday BBQ that they had planned. It was so much fun. Tim, Joey & Summer came, Davy & Kelly came from riverside, our friend Shaverdi showed up (he's one of my fav ppl) along with my new found friend Amanda, and Tom bill's co-worker who i just love, to name a few.

We ate hambugers and hot dogs, drank A&W Cream soda, snacked on a veggie and fruit tray and just had a great time. we ended the evening around a firepit.
I just want to thank everyone who came and help celebrate my birthday in any way! This past year has been good to me i'm excited to see what this new year holds!

Family Home Evening...

For Enrichment Night at church our project was to make a "F"amily "H"ome "E"vening Board, to use at home with our families. Each family member is responsible for one of the following:

Prayer

Song

Scripture

Lesson

Activity

Treat

at the end of family home evening every persons' marker will rotate to the next responsibility for the upcoming week.

We painted the boards and added all the words at the activity but then my mom and i ran over to Michaels to pick up these little guys.



I colored each one by hand using color pencils no less. these will be used as the "markers" for the family. (i will print each family members name on the back once Bill and I decide to start a family)



Here i laid them out to see if it all went good together. I think I kind of like it!

(of course Bill will be the Crab... after all that is his nickname...) I myself can't choose between the Seahorse or the Turtle... what do you think???



And here is the end project mounted on the wall! I'm super happy with the way it worked out. I ran into a little bit of trouble with finding the perfect hooks. But in the end i ended up using the brass hooks they gave us and spray painting them a metallic black.

so i've been thinking....

I love to "stalk" blogs, I LOVE to read about people lives those i know personally and even those who i don't, but i rarely leave comments.... I don't know why this is... i mean anyone who knows me knows i ALWAYS have something to say...

As i look though my own blogs i notice I'm not to popular with the comments either... Does this mean i have "Silent" Stalkers just like me?!?!? But then the thought crosses my mind....Maybe (gasp) NO ONE reads my blogs. Maybe my life that i blog about thinking it's so fascinating, in turn really isn't so. Maybe i write my little witty bits thinking someone out there will get a laugh out of it and here it is just a lonely little blurp with no one but me to read it. That thought makes me sad, but it very well might be the case.

Either way i will still continue to blog, whether it's a way to keep in touch with family and friends (Old & New) or just a journal of my life. Also i plan to be more pro-active when it comes to others blogs. I'll try my best to leave comments so those of you out there like me thinking no one reads 'em... i'm here to tell you I DO!!!!

Bowling!

Last night i headed over to Davy & Kelly's were we had dinner (hamburgers with a hint of cheese....) and then went out bowling. At first lucy was not very happy, we think the loud noises at the bowling alley scared her. As the night went on she seemed to really have fun "patting" our bowling balls for good luck.

Davy and I were amazed at kelly's technique. she would get up to the lane and basically just drop the ball and hit like 8 pins, a couple times she got strikes......I tried it and all i got was gutter balls.

Davy was doing pretty good on our last game. In the first 5 frames he had 3 stikes and 2 spares. For sure Kel and I thought he was going to beat us. But then I really got my head in the game and beat his score! i was totally excited about that! It's been a while since the 3 of have gone bowling, it sure was a lot of fun!

New Hair Style!

I feel like I've had the same hair style forever and was kind of getting bored with it.... I needed a change. I didn't want to change my hair color (i really really like it) so i thought BANGS would give me a NEW look without to much hassle!

So Last night i went over to my cousins Davy & Kelly's house and she did the honors! I can now were them to the side (like in the picture) or just straight across!!! Thank you Kel! I love em.
