BFOTB: Lea & Tim's Wedding

My Best friend is Getting MARRIED!

Lea and I have been best friends since we were 3 years old. That practically makes us sisters. I have never seen a more beautiful bride in my life. I am so thankful to not only share in this wonderful & joyous occasion, but I get to do so standing beside her as her Matron of Honor. I wish you guys much love and happiness forever & always.

from the moment Lea asked me to be her maid matron of honor I started writing my toast. I had to do her justice and let her know how dear she and Tim are to me. a life time of memories filled my heartfelt toast and not a dry eye was to be seen.

BFOTB: Bridal Shower

It's not every day that your best friend gets married, So when her two bridesmaids and my self "showered" her with bridal love we did it right! Lea is one of those girls who oozes style and class. It was only fitting to have her bridal shower reflect that. We kept it simple and classy with a bridal brunch, serving mimosas with a yogurt parfait bar, mini quiche, mini donuts and mini scones. When had three simple games to keep the guests entertained. I for one thought it was a big hit and I know she loved every part of it!

BFOTB: Bachelorette Party

When your life long best friend who's truly your unbiological sister gets engaged and asks you to be her Maid of Honor.... there are 2 big and important events, that now become your responsibility... the first being the BACHELORETTE party...
Off to VEGAS we went.
We stayed in a suite at NewYork NewYork Hotel & Casino.

It was a small group of us which made it perfect. We gambled, drank, danced and had a great time. we even spent a few hours in the room playing a very competitive game of "Tong" its a card game much like solitaire but played against other people. As the saying goes... "what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas"

Cabo San Lucas - Lupe Wedding-

Cabo San Lucas.....
10.11.12 thru 10.14.12

One of Bill's long time friends (Troy) was getting married in Cabo San Lucas. Bill was in the bridal party, which meant ADULT VACATION! This was the first time Bill and I would be leaving Aiden. I was a little worried, but more excited to have a weekend of just US.

I was pretty nervous about flying to Mexico. I've heard horror stories. Our trip started out a little rough. I didn't get to sleep till 2:30am we had to be out the door and on our way to LAX by 4:30am. The flight was leaving at 6:35am. Luckily we planned ahead and had my sister stay over that way Aiden could sleep till his normal time and one less stop we'd have to make. We Ended up getting a later start than planned but made it to the parking structure in time. The shuttle dropped us off at the wrong terminal (because Bill gave the driver our connecting flight for San Diego instead of the lax info) Needless to say we ran down the terminal to the correct one, checked in, got into VIP boarding (the lady working the gate was so nice, thought Bill was Military) and loaded the plan within minutes to spare.

We landed in San Diego headed over to the nearest hotel had breakfast and waited the 4 hour layover till Mexico!

Once we arrived in Mexico it was seriously the most intimidating experience ever! People are yelling at you to go this way or that, drunks everywhere and the most sketchy shuttles and drive I've ever been on. I was slightly worried we wouldn't make it back to our SON!

Upon arriving at the resort i finally relaxed and realized everything was going to be smooth sailing from here on out.

THURSDAY
-We arrived in Cabo 3pm ish
-Had dinner on the beach with Jennifer and Troy the Bride & Groom. along with all other party members that had arrived.

FRIDAY
-6am fishing trip for the Groom and his Groomsmen
-I slept in till 10am (it was amazing might i add)
-Hung by the pool with Cindy (married to Chis a groomsmen)
-Had the Rehearsal, and then rehearsal/dinner cruise. That was incredible

SATURDAY
-Hung by the pool again (got sunburned) played water volleyball Cindy, Bill & I
-Had lunch and then got ready for one of the most beautiful weddings I've ever seen.
-Attended the Wedding and Reception
-The whole bridal party and spouses went into town to dance the night away getting back to the hotel at 4am

SUNDAY
-Farewell brunch to say goodbye to Troy and Jennifer
-Raced back to the hotel and just barely making the shuttle to the airport.
-Arrived home safe and sound to our precious baby boy!

The trip was filled packed with wedding stuff and it wasn't exactly how i pictured spending the weekend with Bill, but i did meet a new amazing friend Cindy who we share so much in common.

I was sad to found out that Aiden really missed us and had really bad separation anxiety. He wouldn't go to anyone but me for a week after we got back and would cry if Bill or I left the room. Putting him to bed was really hard, he would just cry and cry. Thankfully it only lasted one week.

5th Anniversary

Bill and I celebrated our 5th anniversary today. It's hard to think that it's already been five years, sometimes it feels just like yesterday that I met the love of my life and then there are those days that feel like "it can't ONLY be five years, feels like a lifetime!"

As a couple we have had our fare share of ups and downs but through it all we've had each other and I'm so very thankful that I have such a wonderful loving husband who makes me a stronger & better woman & wife. I truly could not imagine my life without him. I'm lucky that I get to spend and share my life with him no matter what it brings.

For our anniversary Bill took me to Gulliver's for dinner, it was delicious after dinner we caught the movie Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. my favorite part was the mermaids, I don't know why but I have always loved mermaids and secretly hoped they were real and that I would be able to see/ meet one someday.... hahaha

Our Anniversary gift to each other...

Bridal Showers and Bachelorette Party!

One of my best and longtime childhood friends, Lani had her very fun pre-wedding events! nothing says you're getting married like a beautiful bridal shower with all your family and friends and then spilling into a very interesting "night out" with the girls!

Her sister and I set up the bridal shower getting it all decked out in her wedding colors and serving some very tasty foods and drinks, I have to say the mimosa's were a HUGE hit! The games we played were extremely fun and man did Lani make out like a bandit.. she got some really wonderful gifts. She and Robert are set to begin this new and exciting adventure.

After the shower Lani and her bridesmaid (myself included) went over to my house and got into the spa, there we had a chance to get some good honest truths going... we talked about being young single and female, to dating to marriage. It was a lot of fun spending some good quality time with these few girls!
